Kailer Smit had his pilot’s license revoked after the aviation authority deemed him medically unfit.

A transgender pilot has had his wings clipped after the SA Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) revoked his licence “on medical grounds”.

Kailer Smit, from Centurion in Gauteng, who holds a pilot licence, was informed by the SACAA in March this year about the decision to revoke his licence, deeming him “medically temporarily unfit”. 

Smit takes a dose of testosterone weekly.
