Tata electric cars get big discounts of up to Rs 3 lakh, free charging and more

With the festive season approaching in India, Tata Motors is rolling out substantial discounts on some of its popular electric models. It includes the Nexon EV, Punch EV, and Tiago EV, with price reductions reaching up to Rs 3 lakh. It should be noted that there are no discounts available for the Tigor EV and the newly-launched Curvv EV. The discounts are available until October 31, 2024, and come on the heels of a recent price reduction on Tata’s ICE models.

Tata EVs price cut: How much can you save

The Nexon EV is seeing the most significant price cut. The revised pricing now ranges from Rs 12.49 lakh to Rs 16.29 lakh, depending on the variant. This marks a reduction of up to Rs 3 lakh for the top-spec models, with the entry-level variant becoming Rs 2 lakh cheaper. Prior to this festive offer, the Nexon EV was priced between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 19.29 lakh.

On the other hand, the Punch EV also benefits from the festive price reductions. The new pricing for the Punch EV starts at Rs 9.99 lakh, down from Rs 10.99 lakh. The top-spec variant now costs Rs 13.79 lakh, a decrease of Rs 1.2 lakh.
While the Tiago EV’s entry-level variant remains priced at Rs 7.99 lakh, the top-spec version has received a Rs 40,000 reduction, bringing its new price to Rs 10.99 lakh. Although the price cut isn’t as significant as those for the Nexon or Punch EVs, it still offers some savings for buyers looking for a more affordable electric option.

Additional festive offers: Free charging

In addition to the price cuts, Tata Motors is offering six months of free charging at over 5,500 Tata Power charging stations across India for customers who purchase an EV during this period.
