Arsenal responded brilliantly, with debutant Riccardo Calafiori smashing a 20-yard screamer past Ederson.

Gabriel then put Arsenal ahead with a header just before half-time, but Leandro Trossard’s red card in added time left the Gunners battling with a man down for the entire second half.

David Raya made crucial saves to deny Haaland and City, but Stones’ last-gasp strike ensured the champions snatched a point, breaking Arsenal’s hearts and sending City back to the top of the table.
