Dmitry Zelenov, head of the press service of Russian Premier League club, Spartak Moscow, has debunked reports linking former Super Eagles winger Victor Moses away from the club in the summer, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Moses joined the Red and Whites in 2021 and has gone on to make 63 appearances, scoring nine goals and registering another nine assists.
In a season that has been hampered by injury, the former Chelsea player has made only nine appearances in all competitions.
Despite having a contract that runs until 2024, the future of the 32-year-old winger has been in doubt following rumours that he could be leaving the Otkrytie Bank Arena when the season comes to an end.
Turkey has been mentioned as a possible destination for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner, having spent a loan season with Fenerbahce in 2019, but according to SportsRation, the Turkish club have ruled out a potential summer move for the Nigerian.
With so much uncertainty surrounding the future of Moses, the press chief in an interview with Sport Express said Moses remained a Spartak player.
“Victor is a Spartak player, he wants to help Spartak. He proves it in word and deed.”
Moses, who recently returned to competitive football after seven months on the sidelines due to injury, will hope to stay injury free for the rest of the season.
