Skoda India is gearing up to introduce its latest sub-compact SUV, the Kylaq, set to be break covers in early November. The Kylaq will enter the highly competitive sub-four-metre SUV segment, where it will face off against popular models like the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, and more.
The manufacturer has collaborated with Indian artist Rob to design the Kylaq’s camouflage, which incorporates scripts from various Indian languages to highlight the nation’s “unity in diversity.” The design project, shared by Rob on social media, offers a glimpse into the creative process and the challenges he faced while working on this culturally rich concept.

The teaser reveals key design features, including Skoda’s signature grille, a split-headlight setup with LED DRLs, and wraparound tail lamps. The alloy wheels sport a black multi-spoke design, giving the Kylaq a sporty appeal. Another notable feature is a single-pane electric sunroof, which has been confirmed through spy shots of the camouflaged model being tested on Indian roads.

The new SUV will be built on Skoda’s MQB-A0-IN platform, measuring under four metres in length. Inside, the Kylaq is expected to offer a range of features. It is likely to come equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Other expected features include a semi-digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and multiple airbags.
Under the hood, the Skoda Kylaq will likely be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 115 hp and 178 Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
With prices expected to range from Rs 8 lakh to Rs 14 lakh, ex-showroom, the Kylaq is set to be Skoda’s most affordable offering in India.
