Skoda Kylaq: Variant-wise features with price explained

Skoda Auto India recently launched the much anticipated Skoda Kylaq compact SUV in the Indian market. The Kylaq is based on the brand’s MQB-A0-IN platform and will measure less than four metres in length. The new model will compete with popular rivals such as the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Bookings for this compact SUV will begin on December 2, and deliveries are slated to begin from January 27, 2025.

The Skoda Kylaq compact SUV is available in four variants – Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige. Prices for the model start at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), with the full price list to be disclosed later. In this article, let’s take a look at variant-wise pricing with features. It should be noted that the carmaker, for now, has only announced the price of the entry-level Classic trim and all other prices that will be mentioned below are expected and not officially confirmed by the brand.

The Classic is the entry-level variant of the Kylaq and gets The vehicle features 16-inch steel wheels, six airbags, central locking, a manual day/night IRVM, ISOFIX anchors, three-point seat belts for all passengers, adjustable headrests for all passengers, traction control, auto engine start-stop, power windows, manual AC, rear AC vents, analogue dials with a digital MID, a front centre armrest, a 12V charging socket (front), tilt steering adjust, powered wing mirrors, fabric seats, and four speakers.

Next comes in Signature trim and gets all the features mentioned above, additionally it gets 16-inch alloy wheels, a tyre pressure monitor, a rear defogger, a dual-tone finish on the dashboard, door panels, and seat fabric, a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, chrome garnishes on the AC vents and door handles, USB Type-C slots (front), a rear parcel shelf, and two tweeters.

Next comes in Signature plus trim and gets features such as a rear centre armrest, a 10-inch touchscreen, auto AC, digital dials, power folding wing mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with chrome garnish, cruise control, a dash insert, and paddle shifters.

Next comes in top-of-the-line Prestige trim, it gets 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear wiper, an auto-dimming internal rearview mirror (IRVM), a powered sunroof, ventilated seats, leatherette upholstery, and powered front seats.
The Kylaq measures 3,995 mm in length, 1975 mm in width, 1575 mm height and has a 2,566 mm wheelbase with a ground clearance of 189 mm. Talking about engine and gearbox, the Kylaq is offered with a a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine with 115 hp of power and 178 nm of torque. Gearbox options will include a 6-speed torque converter and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
