Nigerian singer, Crown Uzama, popularly known as Shallipopi, has bestowed high praise on ace rapper Olamide, declaring him the undisputed “King of Nigerian Street Music”.

In a recent interview with Naija FM, Shallipopi explained that Olamide’s dominance on the streets inspired him to feature the rapper on his song Order. “Baddo [Olamide] is the father and king of Nigerian street music. So I had to feature him on ‘Order’ because it is a street song and Olamide owns the street,” Shallipopi stated.

Additionally, Shallipopi addressed his departure from Dapper Music, confirming that he parted ways with the label after his contract expired. Contrary to reports of a rift, Shallipopi assured that he and his former label are on good terms.

Shallipopi’s endorsement of Olamide’s street music reign solidifies the rapper’s status as a leading figure in Nigerian music.
