The ENACT Organised Crime Index for Africa, produced by the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime (GI-TOC), offers insight into the criminal markets, criminal actors, and the state of resilience in Africa.
Although Southern Africa has the lowest regional levels of crime on the continent, certain countries exhibited relatively high levels of criminal activity, and crime has steadily increased over the past four years, the report found.
