Manchester United head coach, Ruben Amorim has been at loggerheads with the club’s forward player, Marcus Rashford who has been frozen out of the team for the past weeks.
The England player has failed to regain the form that made Manchester United give him a contract extension two seasons ago. However, Marcus Rashford has been a shadow of himself since he signed a new contract at the club.
Ruben Amorim has decided to leave Rashford out of the match-day squad across all competitions. According to the Portuguese, the forward player has not been impressive in training which is his reason for not including in the squad.
He said,
“Rashford out? The reason is the training, the way I see what footballers should do in training, in life. It’s every day, every detail. Even if we missed something upfront against Fulham, I prefer like this. If things don’t change, I will not change. I will put the goalkeeper coach Vital before I put a player who does not give the maximum every day. I will not change in that department”.
Rashford has been linked with a move to other clubs away from Old Trafford with Barcelona being the most obvious. The club will hope that the player’s future is sorted before the 2025 January transfer window closes.
