MultiChoice says it will vigorously defend the public’s right to see the four-part documentary titled Tracking Thabo Bester after it received letters of demand from Dr Nandipha Magudumana and Thabo Bester’s lawyers.

The legal representatives for Magudumana and Bester wrote to MultiChoice on Friday and Saturday, respectively, threatening to take legal action against the broadcaster if it went ahead with airing the documentary scheduled for 15 March.

In separate letters, the couple claimed to have not consented to the commercialisation of their names and demanded to be furnished with episodes of the show before it was aired.
