Nigerian forward, Peter Olayinka, was left astonished as Slavia Prague presented him with a symbolic trophy as he bowed out of the club after five years, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

In a heartwarming farewell gesture before their last game of the season against Slováckoon Saturday, Olayinka received a one-of-a-kind trophy named ‘OLAYINCUP’ to commemorate his outstanding contributions to the club.

The ‘OLAYINCUP’ comprises 83 meticulously designed parts divided into five segments, each representing a season. The size of the individual “discs” varied based on the competition in which Olayinka scored, lending an expressive and voluminous quality to the trophy.

Olayinka expressed his appreciation for the extraordinary tribute, stating, “I value this cup very much; I didn’t expect anything like this at all. It was a shock. I love it.

“When I saw it for the first time, I was moved. Hats off to whoever made it. It’s incredibly heavy; I’ll see how it fits on the plane. But I love every part of it.”

In his four-year spell at the club, the Nigerian made 182 appearances, scoring an impressive 50 goals, 26 assists and clinching seven trophies in the process.

He captained them for his last game and relished the moment with a resounding 4-0 victory over their visitors.

The Super Eagles star has agreed to join Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade on a free transfer ahead of next season.
