Actor and producer Stephen Baldwin has seemingly requested prayers for his daughter, Hailey Bieber, and son-in-law, Justin Bieber.
On Instagram, Baldwin reposted a reel from Victor Marx, the founder of All Things Possible Ministries, on Wednesday, which read:
“Christians, when you think of Justin & Hailey, please take a moment to offer a little prayer for them, to have wisdom and protection and to draw close to the Lord.”
“There are special challenges that folks in high visibility positions face,” Marx added. This post is now expired and unavailable.
In the Victor Marx post, Justin can be seen playing I Could Sing of Your Love Forever on the guitar. Marx sometimes reshares posts from Baldwin as well.
Baldwin, who starred in The Usual Suspects, reposted the reel without further elaboration, causing some concern among fans.
The Biebers were later photographed attending a late-night service at a church in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Baldwin regularly makes religious and spiritual posts on his Instagram, both in his feed and stories. On Thursday, he posted a video about war, competition and deception.
Since 2022, Justin has kept a lower public profile after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. In 2023, he had cancelled the dates for his Justice World Tour, having initially postponed them in 2022.
According to Mayo Clinic, the syndrome “occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of your ears”.
“In addition to the painful shingles rash, Ramsay Hunt syndrome can cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear,” the website added.
The singer made a return to the stage on 1 February, performing in Toronto.
