"Nobody Hold You For Village, Na You Hold Yourself" – Actor Yul Edochie To Nigerians

Nigerian actor Yul Edochie has expressed that the notion of “village people” hindering Nigerians is unfounded.

In a recent Facebook post, he encouraged individuals to reject the belief that external forces from their villages are obstructing their success.

Edochie emphasized that it is, in fact, Nigerians who are impeding their own progress, while those from the villages are also striving to advance in their lives.

He further remarked that reliance on the church is not a panacea for all issues and urged individuals to return to their villages to discover their true identities.

He wrote, “Nobody hold you for village. Village people don’t even have your time.

They’re busy trying to make headway in their own lives. Na you hold yourself.

Go home, go traditional and ask questions about your life. Know who you are, where you come from and where you should be heading to.

Church doesn’t solve everything.”

This statement has sparked considerable discussion online, with many expressing disagreement with both the actor and the pastor.
