Super Falcons star Francisca Ordega has officially signed with Al-Ittihad Ladies FC, joining the Saudi Women’s League.
In an offical announcement it has been confirmed that the Super Falcons of Nigeria star player, Francisca Ordega has made a significant career move, leaving CSKA Moscow in Russia to sign a two-year deal with Al-Ittihad, which will keep her at the club until the summer of 2027.
This transfer sees the 31-year-old forward reunite with her Super Falcons teammate Ashleigh Plumptre, who is already part of the Al-Ittihad squad. The club’s CEO, Mr. Domingos Oliveira, announced the signing, stating that bringing Ordega on board aligns with Al-Ittihad’s vision of strengthening their women’s team with top-quality talent.
He expressed confidence in her ability to contribute to the team’s success in upcoming competitions and wished her and her teammates the best as they strive for victories to excite their fans.
Ordega’s move highlights the increasing presence of Nigerian footballers in international leagues and further cements Nigeria’s status as a powerhouse in women’s football.
She now joins a growing list of Nigerian players making an impact in the Middle East, alongside Super Eagles stars William Troost-Ekong, Odion Ighalo, Henry Onyekuru, and Savior Godwin.
