News head not subjected to ‘unfair’ second vetting process, says SABC

The SABC says there is no evidence to suggest its group executive for news and current affairs, Moshoeshoe Monare, is being targeted by the Presidency. 

The state broadcaster issued a statement on Tuesday refuting a City Press report stating Monare was coerced to embark on a second vetting process or was targeted by the State Security Agency (SSA).

“He has not been asked to go through an unfair second round of vetting and security clearance.
