Maruti Suzuki recently launched the new and updated fourth-generation Maruti Suzuki Dzire in the Indian market. The new Dzire The new Dzire, with generation update, has a completely new design, interior, engine, and several first-in-segment features. The bookings for the sedan are already underway, interested customers can book the car online or by visiting their website. Booking about is set at Rs 11,000.
The new Maruti Suzuki Dzire is offered in four variants – LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+. The manual gearbox is offered across all variants whereas the AMT gearbox and CNG option is available in VXI and ZXI trims. The sub-compact sedan is priced between Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 10.14 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). Customers can also own the new Dzire via Maruti’s subscription service at a monthly payment of Rs 18,248. Now, after the price announcement, the Dzire sedan has started reaching showrooms across the country. The deliveries of the new Dzire will begin from next week. (Do note that the delivery timeline will vary across the country).
The Dzire has also scored an impressive 5-star safety rating in adult occupant protection and a 4-star safety rating for child occupant protection. By this, the fourth-generation Dzire is the first Maruti ever to have scored a 5-star rating from Global NCAP. The Dzire secured a score of 31.24 points out of 34 in adult occupant protection and in child occupant protection, the Dzire secured 39.20 points out of 42. The sedan is powered by a new Z-series, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, NA petrol engine with 82 hp power and 112 nm torque. This engine made its debut with the new Swift and the Dzire is the second Maruti model to be equipped with this powertrain. Gearbox options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT.
In terms of design, the sedan features an all-new exterior design with no resemblance to the new Swift or outgoing Dzire. It features a prominent grille at the front, flanked by sleek rectangular LED headlamps. The new Dzire also showcases redesigned fog lamp housing, complemented by a bold gloss black trim that links the headlamps, finished off with a chrome strip at the bottom.

At the rear, it features Y-shaped LED elements in the tail lights, joined by a chrome strip that spans the tailgate. The boot lid has a spoiler-style bulge, and the rear bumper includes distinctive contouring. The top-spec trims will come equipped with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and also LED taillights with DRLs.
Moving inside, the interior layout is the same as the new Swift but it features a dual-tone dashboard with few other cosmetic changes. It features a 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, connected car tech, semi-digital cluster, automatic climate control, flat-bottom steering wheel and more. It also gets segment-first features such as a single-pane electric sunroof, rear AC vents, a rear centre armrest and a 360-degree camera. Safety-wise, it gets six airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, ABS with EBD, brake assist, three-point seat belts for all seats, ISOFIX mounts and more.
