Mercedes-Benz Concept EQG Electric SUV and GLA, AMG GLE 53 Coupe at Bharat Mobility Show |

Mercedes-Benz India is getting ready to showcase its concept and upcoming vehicles at the 2024 Bharath Mobility show which will be held at Pragati Maidan from February 1, 2024. The company will showcase the all-electric EQG, which was first revealed at the 2021 Munich Auto Show. The EQG was also recently showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) earlier this year in Las Vegas,
The EQG is a concept EV based on the German carmaker’s most expensive off-road SUV G-Class.In terms of design, the EQG features the same styling as the standard G-Wagon except for a few changes. The EQG has a closed black illuminated grille with an illuminated stripe on other parts of its exterior such as the roof rack, door sills, and headlamp covering. The EQG also features a dual-tone paint scheme with a black upper body and a metallic silver lower body.

The EQG concept will be based on a ladder-on-frame chassis and will be powered by a quad-motor setup, with each motor near each wheel. It will also get a ladder-frame integrated battery pack. The EV gets independent suspension on the front axle and a rigid axle at the rear and it can also perform G-Turn. This feature lets the SUV make a 360-degree turn around its axis.

Along with showcasing of the EQG concept, the company also will showcase the face-lifted GLA and the AMG GLE 53 Coupe. The GLA facelift will feature substantial cosmetic changes both inside and out. These include re-designed front and rear bumpers, new headlights and taillights, new grille and much more. Inside, the car gets a re-designed dashboard layout with an upgraded MBUX infotainment system and additional features.

Engine options will include a 1.3-litre turbo petrol which puts out 163 PS of power and 270 Nm of torque. Another engine is the 2.0-litre turbo diesel with 150 PS and 320 Nm of torque. The petrol engine will come with a 7-speed DCT, the diesel gets an 8-speed automatic. Talking about the AMG GLE 53 Coupe Facelift, this SUV too gets a few cosmetic changes on the outside and inside. The SUV will be powered by a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol paired with a 48V mild hybrid system and puts out 435PS and 520Nm of torque. The engine comes paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
