Manchester United failed to capitalize on their recent form, falling 3-1 to Brighton at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Brighton took the lead early in the game with a goal from Yankuba Minteh, but Manchester United responded with a penalty scored by Bruno Fernandes, leveling the score at 1-1.
However, Brighton regained the lead in the second half through Kaoru Mitoma, making it 2-1.
The visitors added a third goal via Georginio Rutter, sealing the match at 3-1.
Brighton also had a goal disallowed following a VAR review for a foul on Diogo Dalot, but their attacking plays were effective, consistently exploiting Manchester United’s defense.
The result takes Brighton, who have struggled in recent games to 9th place, while Manchester United remain at 13th with 26 points.
