Manchester City have confirmed that England defender Kyle Walker has joined AC Milan on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season, pending international clearance.

The 34-year-old England international leaves City after an illustrious seven-and-a-half-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.

A club statement on Friday titled, “Walker Joins AC Milan on Loan,” revealed this.

Since joining Man City from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2017, Walker has been instrumental in Manchester City’s golden era, amassing 319 appearances, scoring six goals, and lifting 17 major trophies, including six Premier League titles, a UEFA Champions League, and a FIFA Club World Cup, the statement stated.

Walker, who captained City during their historic 2023/24 season, played a pivotal role in securing their fourth consecutive Premier League crown, alongside triumphs in the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.

With 93 England caps, Walker has been a stalwart for the Three Lions, helping them reach the finals of EURO 2020 and EURO 2024.

In a statement, Walker expressed his gratitude: “I’ve had the privilege of achieving so much with this incredible club, and I leave with nothing but pride and fond memories.

“AC Milan represents an exciting new challenge, and I’m looking forward to helping the team compete at the highest level.”

The club wished Walker the very best as he embarks on the next chapter of his illustrious career in Serie A.
