Reports have confirmed that Man United FC’s left-back Tyrell Malacia has completed a loan move away from Old Trafford.

Man United FC’s youngster Tyrell Malacia has joined PSV Eindhoven on a loan deal till the end of the 2024/2025 season with an option to buy option. It has also been revealed that the Red Devils’ clause of the option to buy would see him leave Old Trafford for an estimated amount of 10 million Euros in the June 2025 transfer window.

The 25-year-old defender will spend the rest of the 2024/25 season with PSV, who are currently top of the Eredivisie table and are set to face Juventus in the Champions League knockout playoff round.

It’s no secret that Malacia has been having difficulty securing game time at Manchester United. This loan move to PSV provides him with an opportunity to play regularly and regain his form. During the loan period, PSV will cover all of Malacia’s wages, and Manchester United has included a 30% sell-on clause in the agreement.

The Dutch full-back was strongly linked with a move to Benfica last week as the Portuguese giants wanted Malacia on a six-month loan deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Voetbal International, however, reports that the youngster’s move to Portugal had collapsed after Manchester United failed to reach an agreement with the club. He will instead head back to his homeland, joining PSV Eindhoven on a short-term loan deal, although the Dutch club have an option to buy.

It is however not mandatory for PSV to buy him at the end of his loan spell so the ball is in Malacia’s court in regards to if he can impress the Dutch side into retaining his services for a longer spell.
