Mahindra has finally revealed the much-anticipated prices for the 4×4 variants of its latest SUV, the Thar Roxx. The Thar Roxx steps in as a practical five-door version of the beloved Thar, but isn’t just limited to the addition of five doors. It brings a host of upgrades in terms of design, features and more and now lines up alongside another widely popular 4×4 model in the company’s lineup, the ScorpioN.But how do they stack up, particularly in terms of pricing? Let’s take a look.

Mahindra Thar Roxx vs ScorpioN: Price comparison

Both SUVs offer petrol and diesel engines, but we will discuss the pricing structure of the diesel trims as the 4×4 option is exclusive to them. The Thar Roxx 4×4 diesel variants are priced at Rs 18.79 lakh for the MX5 MT, Rs 20.99 lakh for the AX5L MT. The AX7L MT costs Rs 20.99 while the AX7L AT will set you back by Rs 22.49 lakh, ex-showroom.

The ScorpioN 4×4 diesel variants, on the other hand, include the Z4 Diesel 4WD AT at Rs 18.00 lakh and Rs 18.50 lakh for the MT. The Z8 Diesel 4WD MT is priced at Rs 21.36 lakh while the AT version costs Rs 23.09 lakh. Lastly, the Z8 L Diesel 4WD MT comes at Rs 22.98 lakh and Rs 24.54 lakh for the top-of-the-line AT trim.
The Thar Roxx starts at Rs 18.79 lakh for the MX5 MT and climbs to Rs 22.49 lakh for the top-end AX7 L AT. In contrast, the ScorpioN 4×4 range begins slightly lower, with the Z4 Diesel 4WD priced at Rs 18.00 lakh, but the top-end Z8 L Diesel 4WD reaches a higher Rs 24.54 lakh. This results in a difference of more than Rs 2 lakh for the top-spec variants.
The Thar Roxx’s aggressive pricing for the 4×4 trims makes it a compelling alternative to the Scorpio N, particularly for those who want the adventure-ready 4×4 setup without the premium price tag. However, the ScorpioN still remains a strong contender, depending on the personal tastes.
