The late First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, was laid to rest on Friday, with condolence messages pouring in for Governor Umo Eno and the people of Akwa Ibom State.

Earlier, Gistreel reported that former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi expressed his heartfelt condolences, describing her death as a significant loss to the Governor, their children, the state, and the nation.

He prayed for God’s comfort and strength for the grieving family during this difficult period. Similarly, the Movement for the Survival of Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) extended its sympathies, mourning the late First Lady as an esteemed “Mother of the State.”

Governor Umo Eno expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu and Nigerians at home and abroad for their immense support, love, and prayers.

Speaking during a service of songs held in his wife’s honour, the Governor thanked everyone for the overwhelming kindness shown during the funeral ceremonies held at his country home in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area.
