Joshua, Wilder to earn career-high wages

Former heavyweight champions Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder are set to earn career-high payouts due to a proposed deal to fight in Saudi Arabia this December.

Wilder and Joshua have been going back and forth on a potential meeting since they both became world champions in 2015 and 2016 respectively, but a deal has never materialised for the hard-hitting pair. However, with Saudi Arabian officials now offering huge sums, it appears that we are in the final stages for a bout between the two by the end of this year.

The former WBC champion, who is considered by many to be one of the hardest-hitting fighters in boxing history, was in Riyadh earlier this year for talks and to watch Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury, and appears keen on competing in the region. Meanwhile, Joshua is known for his world title challenges in the Middle East, facing Andy Ruiz Jr and Oleksandr Usyk in rematches in 2019 and 2022.
