It was jubilation galore during an emergency Senate Meeting which held on Friday August 18, 2023 at the Postgraduate Hall when the Chairman of Senate Professor Okechuku Onuchuku announced that approval has been given for the elevation of sixteen academic staff to the rank of Professors and ten others to the rank of Associate Professors(Readers) with monetary benefits. With this sixteen new Professors, Ignatius Ajuri University, Port Harcourt, Nigeria  now has a total of eighty Professors.

Professor Onuchuku who expressed appreciation to the State Governor and Visitor to the University Amaopusenibo Siminalayi Fubara for the approval appealed to those concerned to provide pure and adequate academic leadership in their areas of discipline and assume leadership positions if there are no professors in such areas.

  1. Praise be unto God for his uplifting! Thanks unto those that contributed to this uplifting especially the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Onuchukwu who has relently pressed that the announcement be made since 2021 and has achieved that with the accrued benefits! Thanks to the visitor too; the amiable Governor for the magnanimious approval!
God Almighty bless you all in Jesus mighty Name!!

  2. Congratulations to the elevated Staff…. More wins.
Those that were not promoted should get ready for sudden visitation soon….. God is a faithful rewarder!
