Hyundai Alcazar facelift launched at Rs 14.99 lakh: Variant prices, changes and more

Hyundai Motor India today announced the launch of the much anticipated Hyundai Alcazar facelift in the Indian market. The price for the new SUV starts from Rs 14.99 lakh for the turbo petrol and Rs 15.99 lakh for the diesel (both prices ex-showroom) and the new Alcazar is offered in four variants, namely, Platinum, Signature, Prestige, and Executive.The bookings for the SUV are already underway, interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership and the booking amount is set at Rs 25,000.
The new Alcazar is based on an updated Hyundai Creta and has similar features, interior layout and styling. In terms of design, the Alcazar facelift features H-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps linked by a light bar and a larger grille with horizontal slats. It now includes quad-beam LED headlamps, replacing the trio-beam units from the previous model. Additionally, the pre-facelift Alcazar had separate grille designs for the petrol and diesel versions.
At the rear, the SUV features full-width tail lamps with an H motif. These new tail lamps, combined with redesigned bumpers, give the vehicle a more squared-off appearance than the previous model. Additionally, it sports a new design for the 18-inch alloy wheels and also gets functional roof rails. Customers can choose from eight exterior paint schemes, namely, Atlas White, Abyss Black Pearl, Ranger Khaki, Fiery Red, Robust Emerald Pearl, Starry Night, Titan Grey Matte, and Atlas White with Abyss Black roof.
Moving inside, the interior layout is the same as the new Creta but gets a noble brown and haze navy colour scheme and comparatively Alcazar’s dashboard looks more premium than the Creta. It continues to be available in 6- and 7-seater configurations and will borrow most of its features from the Creta facelift. The 6-seat layout option features captain seats in the second row which gets wing-shaped headrests and also ventilation function.
In terms of features, the Alcazar facelift gets dual 10.25-inch screens for infotainment and instrument cluster, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, dual wireless chargers, Type-C USB ports, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and 8-way powered front seats with two levels of memory function for the driver, dual-zone climate control, steering mounted controls, voice commands, OTA updates, air purifier, auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers and much more, ambient lighting and much more.
In terms of safety, it gets a 360-degree camera, six airbags (as standard), ISOFIX child seat mounts, TCS, stability control and Level 2 ADAS features such as as Forward Collision Warning and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (car, pedestrian, cyclist, junction turning), Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Following Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go and Leading Vehicle Departure Alert, High Beam Assist, Driver Attention Warning and Safe Exit Warning, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist.
The Alcazar will be offered with two engine options – a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo charged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo charged diesel engine. The petrol engine puts out 160hp of power and 253Nm of torque and can be had with either a 6-speed MT or an optional 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel engine puts out 116hp and 250Nm and is paired with a 6MT or a 6AT gearbox.
