Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India is gearing up to debut its first-ever electric scooter, scheduled for launch on November 27. The model, anticipated to be an electric iteration of the manufacturer’s popular scooter Activa, has been teased frequently in the last few days. The teasers, so far, have offered glimpses into its design, features, and more – with the latest one revealing significant information – its range.
Honda’s upcoming electric scooter: Range and mode
The latest teaser highlights the electric scooter’s range of 104 km in standard mode, along with two riding modes namely, the afore-mentioned Standard and Sport. While Sport mode will offer enhanced throttle response, it may result in a reduced range. The teaser also showcases a digital instrument cluster that will based on the trim level. The top-spec version will feature a multi-colour TFT screen, equipped with smartphone connectivity.
Mechanically, the model is likely to share its powertrain with the Honda CUV e:, which was recently unveiled at the EICMA 2024. The scooter is expected to come with a swingarm-mounted motor.

Previous teasers have offered glimpses of the electric scooter’s LED headlamp and seating, hinting at a well-rounded package aimed at mass-market appeal. Once launched, the model will lock horns against the likes of Ather Rizta, Ola S1, Hero Vida, TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak and more.
Honda is a big player in the ICE two-wheeler market, but it’s entering India’s electric scooter segment a bit late. However, if the new model uses the trusted Activa name, offers good features, stylish design, and a competitive price, it could shake up the market thanks to the strong reputation of the Activa brand.
