Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, yesterday expressed strong confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) following successful fundraising efforts for the upcoming local government elections.
The Governor shared these sentiments during a thank-you visit from a high-powered delegation representing the Funtua Zone at Government House, Katsina. A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, indicated that the overwhelming participation of card-carrying members and supporters demonstrates the party’s enduring popularity.
The Governor pledged to ensure prudent resource management in collaboration with stakeholders as his administration approaches its second year, requesting continued prayers and support from the people of Katsina State.
Similarly, the Deputy Governor, Faruq Lawal Jobe, acknowledged the administration’s commitment to the development of the state, noting a remarkable investment of over 120 billion naira in education alone.
“Our focus remains steadfast on human capital development, infrastructural projects, and empowerment programmes to foster self-reliance,” Jobe stated, adding that Funtua Zone would maintain its position as the state’s political compass.
In his separate contribution, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nasiru Yahaya Daura, commended Governor Radda’s inclusive leadership approach, stating, “The Governor’s strategic appointment of committed and trustworthy individuals from across the state has fostered unity in Katsina.”
The delegation, led by APC State Deputy Chairman Alhaji Bala Abu Musawa, represented eleven local government areas in the Funtua Zone. Musawa specifically praised recent key appointments, including AbdulKadir Mamman Nasir as Chief of Staff and Malik Anas as Commissioner, motivating the people of Funtua Zone to turn out en masse to register their appreciation.
Chief of Staff Nasir, in his comments, described Governor Radda as a resolute leader, committed to delivering timely benefits to the ordinary citizen.
The delegation included political stalwarts such as the Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Abdullahi Garba Faskari; Member of the State Assembly Shamsuden Abubakar Dabai; Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Musa Adamu Funtua; retired Justice Sadiq Abdullahi Mahuta; Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Shehu Isiyaku Dabai; and the Representative of the Council Chairmen, Alhaji Bala Ado Faskari, among others.
