This statement comes after Falz’s legal team, Falana & Falana Chambers, issued a letter to Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, demanding a retraction of defamatory claims made against Falz.

The letter addressed a social media post in which VeryDarkMan implied that Falz had conspired with Bobrisky to “pervert the course of justice” by financially aiding him to secure a favorable legal outcome.

Dated September 26, 2024, the letter from Falz’s lawyer, Taiwo E. Olawanle, clarified the events.

It explained that while Bobrisky sought advice from Falz, the rapper declined any financial involvement, stating it was unnecessary.

The letter detailed, “On May 4, 2024, Bobrisky contacted our client requesting a conversation. Out of goodwill, our client agreed, assuming Bobrisky might need legal guidance due to the charges against him. However, Bobrisky instead asked for N3 million to allegedly pay officials for access to a VIP section in the Correctional Centre.”

Falz’s legal team emphasized that the rapper discouraged any payments, but Bobrisky persisted, blaming his legal team for advising him to plead guilty.

Falana & Falana Chambers demanded an immediate retraction of the defamatory statements and a public apology across all platforms.

Failure to do so within 24 hours would result in legal action, including a claim for damages to Falz’s reputation.

In a viral video, VeryDarkMan referenced Bobrisky’s claim that EFCC officers collected N15 million to drop money laundering charges. Bobrisky has denied these allegations, and EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede has ordered an investigation.
