Chelsea are not preparing a summer swoop for Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Reports broke on Monday that the Blues are ready to meet Liverpool’s £35m valuation.
However, a post on X, former Twitter by football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, has debunked the ongoing rumour.
Romano wrote, “Chelsea are currently not working on deal to sign Caoimhin Kelleher from Liverpool, despite recent links.
“No discussions with any other GK at this stage,” he added.
Kelleher, who has been Liverpool’s standout performer in Alisson Becker’s absence, is expected to drop to third choice next season with the arrival of Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia.
The lack of consistent opportunities at Anfield has left Kelleher considering a move, as he seeks a No. 1 role.
However, Chelsea are currently not exploring moves for the goaltender at this time.
