Street-hop, also known by the lingo “Afro Adura,” stands as one of Nigeria’s most significant genres. Deeply rooted in ancestral sounds like Fuji & Apala, it also draws inspiration from the church (particularly the white garment tradition) while blending in contemporary elements like Pop, Afropop, Afro-fusion, & Amapiano to stay in tune with modern trends.
In April 2024, Seyi Vibez officially launched his self-owned label, Vibez Inc, introducing a roster that includes familiar face TML Vibez alongside Muyeez, Billion Solar, and Nerryckole.
Since its inception, Seyi Vibez’s Vibez Inc has proven to be a powerhouse of creativity and consistency. According to data, major releases from Seyi Vibez and his Vibez Inc signees have significantly boosted Virgin Music and Dapper Music’s market share, surpassing an impressive one billion on-demand streams across five major platforms by the third quarter of 2024.
In less than two months, the collective released 10 tracks, and within just six months, they’ve dropped an astounding 13 projects, solidifying their reputation for maintaining an exceptional work rate.
