Manchester United were held to a 0-0 draw by Crystal Palace in their English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Selhurst Park on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils wasted several big chances as Erik ten Hag’s men were denied by Palace’s Dean Henderson, their former goalkeeper.

Coming into the encounter on the back of a 7-0 EFL Cup win on Tuesday, high hopes of victory were thwarted at every possible chance by Henderson who saved efforts from Alejandro Garnacho, Matias de Ligt, and Lisandro Martinez in the first period.

There were further chances for Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes who both hit the bar before the interval.

Eberechi Eze missed glaring chances for Palace to nick the win late in the pulsating encounter.

The shared points see Man United remain in 11th place with seven points from five matches while Crystal Palace remain in 16th place with three points.

In earlier matches, Nicholas Jackson scored a brace and provided an assist in Chelsea’s derby victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Consecutive wins move Chelsea up to fourth position on the log with ten points, two points behind leaders Liverpool who brushed Bournemouth aside 3-0 at Anfield.
