The Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole has warned those planning to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC, that the days of playing both sides are over.

He advised those planning to defect to stay with PDP and its candidate, Asue Ighodalo.

The lawmaker spoke while addressing a group of persons and was captured in a viral video.

According to Oshiomhole: “You can’t be with Asue Ighodalo and expect to eat, celebrate here. The days are gone when you play two sides.

“Go with your artificial intelligence while we stay without native and organic intelligence so we can’t be fooled again. You’ve lost.

“You bolt and after the election, you want to jump camp? No stay with him because we don’t want people that stay on the fence.”

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had declared Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of Saturday’s governorship election.

Results from INEC said Okpebholo got 291,667 votes, and Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, scored 247,274 votes while LP’s governorship candidate, Olumide Akpata polled 22,763 votes to emerge third.
