Davdan Peace and Advocacy Foundation, in partnership with the Peace Ambassador agency, will host a peace and security conference in Nigeria’s capital city.
The 14th peace achievers international conference will hold at the Abuja continental hotel on November 23, 2024.
Kingsley Amafibe, project director of Davdan in Africa, said the conference will be a gathering of security and defence agencies, civil society organisations, youth leaders, community leaders, trade and professional unions, students and the public.
He said the conference will help de-escalate ethnic tension and build security bridges in the country.
Amafibe added that the event will create an avenue to discuss ways and means of reducing the tone of antagonism, division, and separatist agitation to entrench a culture of peace, unity, and tolerance.
“Peace is a collective effort, and all hands must be on the ground if we can build a harmonious future. Amb Kingsley Amafibe is calling on all stakeholders to be part of initiatives like this that create productivity and promote national intelligence,” he said.
“The morning session commences at 10 am. while the evening session will feature an all white gala dinner and awards night.
“The conference will also feature insightful training sessions, award conferment, as well as Honorary doctorate degree conferment. Registration is going on now.”
