Controversial Nigerian singer, Darlington Achakpo, also known as Speed Darlington, has demanded ₦300 million in compensation from the Nigerian police for violating his human rights.

Naija News reports that Akpi, as he is fondly called, made this known in a post via his Instagram page on Thursday while appreciating one of his lawyers, David Ihuoma, who serves under another of his attorney, Stan Alieke.

He claimed that the lawyer’s confidence was 10/10, stressing that he strongly condemned the police over the continuous detention owing to suspected influence from higher powers involved in his case.

According to Speed Darlington, David played a major role in his case, and the police attested to his confidence in speaking against corruption.

He said, “This is Mazi David Ihuoma. One of my big lawyers who played a big role in my case and continued to play, his confidence is 10/10. Even the police attested to his confidence and his forceful way, always reminding them that the police are corrupt and they know it.

“They were supposed to let me go, and they were still holding me against the court order.  Thank you Mazi David Ihuoma Esq. We going all the way! They must pay me for violating my human right 300 million naira. We will drag them more than Stanley, and I dragged that bank that violated me two years ago.”
