Our Youth Ambassadors are a dynamic team of volunteers committed to electrifying campaigns against extreme poverty across Europe.
The Role of Youth Ambassadors
The Youth Ambassador programs empower over 300 young activists throughout Europe. As a Youth Ambassador, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Actively campaign within and beyond your community
- Amplify ONE’s work through media engagement
- Advocate with decision-makers at European, national, and local levels
What to Expect
Sounds Like You? Expect:
- Training to develop skills and knowledge in campaigning, national politics, and media
- Joining a group of 55 Youth Ambassadors and a ONE Global Activists network across Europe, Africa, and the US
- Opportunities to represent ONE at events and meet with decision-makers
- Dedicated support to carry out creative and impactful community actions in support of ONE’s campaigning work

- Ideal for those aged 18-35 wanting to develop skills in campaigning and influencing decision-makers

- No prior campaigning experience needed

Campaign Impact
Our Youth Ambassadors have been at the forefront of impactful campaigns, addressing critical global issues such as:
- Global response to COVID-19
- National and EU budget processes
- Gender equality
- Education and nutrition
- Fair-trade coffee
- Transparency in essential services organizations (e.g., Gavi and the Global Fund)
In 2019, Youth Ambassadors in France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, and Ireland ran the ONE Vote 2019 Campaign, securing support from over 200 Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) committed to using their mandate to help end extreme poverty.
Activities and Achievements
Since 2015, ONE’s Youth Ambassadors have:
- Held over 1,000 campaign events
- Garnered over 1,500 media hits in national or politically important local outlets
- Conducted more than 1,500 advocacy meetings with Heads of State, Ministers, Leaders of Parties, Development spokespersons, and other policymakers.
