Kompany’s Bayern Munich have suffered a huge setback which many believe will affect the team in their upcoming Champions League fixture.

Bayern Munich, the six-time European champions, experienced a travel disruption on their way to the Netherlands for a Champions League fixture. Their Lufthansa charter flight to Rotterdam, carrying the team, including captain Harry Kane, faced delays caused by freezing weather and an extended security check.

The aircraft required de-icing in Munich, adding several minutes to the delay. Compounding the issue, a prolonged security inspection at the VIP gate further slowed the team’s departure. Despite these setbacks, Bayern Munich is now en route to Rotterdam.

The Bavarian giants are preparing for a critical Champions League clash against Feyenoord. While the delay may have caused some inconvenience, they are expected to be ready for the match. German star Jamal Musiala, who missed the last three Bundesliga games due to flu, is likely to return to Kompany’s starting lineup for the midweek fixture.

The travel disruption may offer a slight advantage to Feyenoord, who will be well-rested and fully prepared. Following their European engagement, Bayern will resume domestic action in the Bundesliga, facing Freiburg on Saturday.
