ASUU holds 22nd national conference

The Academic Staff Union of Universities will hold its 22nd National Delegates Conference between May 19th and 21st, 2023 at the University of Jos.

A statement by the union said the theme of this year’s lecture, titled, ‘Crisis of State and the Challenges of National Development,’ would be delivered by a seasoned lawyer, and public intellectual, Mr Ebunolu Adegboruwa, on Friday 19th of May, 2023 at the Ali Akwe Doma Lecture Theater, University of Jos.

It read, “The National Delegates Conference is the highest decision-making organ of the Union which holds once in two years. It is the organ of the Union saddled with charting a course for in terms of formulation of policies The Biennial event is incomplete without a public lecture.”

According to Wikipedia, the Academic Staff Union of Universities is a Nigerian union of university academic staff, founded in 1978. ASUU is an offshoot of the Nigerian Association of University Teachers which was established in 1965.
