Aprilia has unveiled the much-anticipated Tuono 457 at EICMA, making it the second second model based on its RS 457 platform. Essentially, the Tuno 457 is a naked, street-focused alternative to its sportier sibling. Here, let’s take a look at what’s different and what’s on offer.
The Tuono 457 carries the recognizable Tuono name but brings a fresh design approach to the lineup. As a naked version of the RS 457, it trades the full fairing for a more minimalistic look. Its front end features a vertically stacked LED headlight setup, flanked by LED DRLs. The bike’s appearance is further differentiated by aerodynamic elements on the front and tank shrouds, while the mainframe and engine remain exposed for a more rugged, aggressive stance.

As for the engine, the Tuono 457 borrows the 457cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine from the RS 457. It makes 47 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque. A six-speed gearbox accompanies the engine, with an optional quickshifter available.
For suspension duties, the Tuono 457 features adjustable 41mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are managed by a 320mm disc in the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, featuring dual-channel ABS for added safety.
In terms of features, the bike includes a TFT display with smartphone connectivity, besides traction control, multiple ABS and ride modes. Following its global debut, Aprilia is expected to showcase the Tuono 457 at India Bike Week, with a full launch anticipated early next year.
