The mayor of Tshwane, Cilliers Brink, says he is saving the metro from complete bankruptcy by refusing to agree to wage increases for municipal workers.

But his coalition partner, ActionSA, says that refusing to honour a wage agreement has worsened the crisis.

ActionSA and the DA are currently experiencing another test to their coalition agreement to govern Tshwane, and the spat is playing out in public.
