Advocate Ouma Rabaji-Rasethaba, the Deputy National Director of Public Prosecutions: Asset Forfeiture Unit (AFU), says the country’s law enforcement agencies should all work together to ensure South Africa is removed from the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) greylist.
Rabaji-Rasethaba, who was speaking at the National Conference on the Integrated Criminal Justice System in Boksburg, said the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) was making progress in addressing some of the issues the FATF raised when it greylisted the country in February last year.
The FATF is an intergovernmental body which sets global standards to combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
