Afro Nation festival announces star-studded lineup for 5th anniversary celebration

Afro Nation, the global movement celebrating African music and culture, has unveiled a star-studded lineup for its landmark 5th-anniversary festival.

The three-day event, taking place on Praia da Rocha’s golden sands in Portimão, Portugal, between July 9-11, promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, fashion, food, and dance.

Headlining the festival is Davido, the undisputed Afrobeats titan. He returns to the Afro Nation main stage after first headlining the debut festival in 2019. Joining Davido are previously announced headliners Burna Boy and Tems. This is as well as new additions Booba, Dexta Daps, Joé Dwèt Filé, Ronisia, Felo Le Tee, LeeMcKrazy, Scotts Maphuma, and The Therapist.

The festival’s lineup spans the most influential Afrobeats and Amapiano trailblazers, as well as exciting new names. This cements Afro Nation’s reputation as the definitive moment for African music and culture every summer.

“Davido’s return to the Afro Nation main stage is a testament to the festival’s growth and influence,” said The Malachite Group (TMG). “Our 5th anniversary will be a massive celebration, packed with surprises and not-to-be-missed events. We can’t wait to bring the community together again on the beach.”

Meanwhile, since its inception in 2019, Afro Nation has grown into a global movement. It has bridged communities worldwide and championing the influence of African music on a global stage.
