Super Eagles winger, Ademola Lookman was nominated for the Best Men’s Player award at the Globe Soccer Awards following his impressive performance for Atalanta.
Ademola Lookman was nominated among some of the best players in the world which includes a group of football’s biggest names, including superstars Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, and Erling Haaland.
The body confirmed the news on its official X account on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
The statement read thus,
“The 15th edition of the Beyond Development Dubai #GlobeSoccer Awards will take place on 27th December, alongside the 19th Dubai International Sports Conference, in partnership with the @DubaiSC Sports Council.”
Manchester City last season’s Phil Foden, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham, and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer were part of the England players in the group. Two of the greatest players of all time, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were also part of the nominated players following their performances for Inter Miami and Al-Nassr respectively.
Other players on the list include Bundesliga’s Robert Lewandowski and Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sané, along with Bukayo Saka. Lamine Yamal, along with Federico Valverde, Vinícius Júnior, and Alejandro Grimaldo.
