The rape allegation against French football star Kylian Mbappe, has been dismissed for lack of sufficient evidence.
Swedish prosecutor, Marina Chirakova, disclosed this on Thursday.
She stated that she has closed the investigation into alleged rape and sexual assault against Mbappe.
“My assessment is that the evidence is not sufficient to proceed and the investigation is therefore closed,” she stated.
She however noted that the footballer has not been notified of suspicion of a crime.
