Nigerian singer Ruger, real name Michael Adebayo Olayinka, has sparked controversy with his latest tweets, targeting his colleagues in the music industry.

On Wednesday, November 6, Ruger took to X to brag about his consistent bookings for shows and appear to mock fellow artists for relying on autotune during performances.

“Next time, tell your engineer to shut it down when you’re about to speak coz you be speaking in Tunez wahalaaaaaa,” Ruger tweeted, implying that some artists can’t speak without autotune assistance.

He then boasted, “Ruger don’t need that sh*t. thank you.”

Meanwhile, Ruger’s comments have ignited debate. While some defended his right to express himself, others accused him of disrespecting his colleagues.
