Tata Nexon petrol, diesel with panoramic sunroof launched at Rs 13.6 lakh: Details

Tata Motors recently launched the Nexon CNG with a panoramic sunroof. And now, the company has introduced panoramic sunroof in petrol and diesel variants of the Nexon. It’s offered in top-of-the-line Fearless plus PS trim and is priced from Rs 13.6 lakh for the petrol MT, Rs 14.8 lakh for petrol DCT, Rs 15 lakh for diesel MT and Rs 15.6 lakh for diesel AMT (all prices ex-showroom).

As mentioned above, the panoramic sunroof is offered in Petrol MT, DCT and Diesel MT and AMT. The petrol engine is a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine that puts out 120hp and 170Nm torque. The diesel is the 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, turbo diesel which puts out 115hp, 260Nm torque. While both engines are offered with the 6-speed manual and 6-speed AMT, the petrol engine also comes with the option of a 5-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

In terms of features, the Nexon gets a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, connected car tech, a wireless charger, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, 8-speaker JBL sound system, wireless charger, cruise control and more. In terms of safety, it gets six airbags as standard across the range, ESC, three-point seat belts for all passengers, ISOFIX, TPMS, front parking sensor, blind view monitor and more.

The Tata Nexon and the Mahindra XUV 300 are the only sub-compact SUVs in its segment to offer panoramic sunroof. In XUV 3XO panoramic sunroof is offered in top-spec AX7 and AX7 L trims, priced between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh, which are approximately Rs 11,000 to Rs 1.11 lakh more expensive than the Nexon, depending on the variant.
