As another weekend of schoolboy rugby approaches, a school like Milnerton High has to wash off the heady success of its “out-of-body” Rondebosch win to focus on the next target.

Damian de Allende’s alma mater turned around a 30-point deficit in 16 minutes to beat the famous southern suburbs school 34-33 at the Tinkie Heyns Field.

Milnerton’s director of rugby, Heinrich Martin, who coached double Rugby World Cup winner, De Allende, who is the school’s first Springbok, said the players had a warm, yet measured, sense of achievement after toppling one of the foremost Cape Town rugby schools.
