Tottenham battled to a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest to leapfrog Aston Villa to the Premier League fourth position on Sunday.
Micky Van de Ven’s left-footed effort on 52 minutes opened Tottenham’s second-half game.
The result spurred Spurs into fourth place, leapfrogging Aston Villa, thanks to their superior goal difference, as they remain in contention for the Champions League.
Forest, motivated by their recent win over Fulham, started brightly, with Murillo’s ambitious long-range effort setting the tone early on.
However, it was Tottenham who broke the deadlock, with an own goal from Murillo, before Chris Wood leveled the score for Forest.
In the second half, Van de Ven’s stunning strike from a short corner provided the breakthrough, followed by Pedro Porro’s clinical finish to seal the win.
