The show organizers made it known that the local authorities played a role in the eventual cancellation of the show.

Nigerian heavyweight singer, songwriter, and performer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, is currently under fire for cancelling his Netherlands concert after he kept fans waiting for several hours, and in regards to that, the event organizers have issued a statement.

Burna Boy, who reportedly sold out the event, left a lot of aggrieved fans waiting for several hours, only to later cancel the show. The Grammy-award-winning singer, who has issued an apology, also revealed why the show couldn’t hold.

Speaking from another angle, the organizers of the event, Bon Bon Entertainment, who have operated in Europe for many years and have worked with heavyweights like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Black Coffee, Mr. Eazi, Rema, and a host of others, also took to social media to apologize to the fans and shed more light on the disappointment.

According to the organization, they (including Burna Boy’s team) tried all they could until the last minute, but the show couldn’t hold. They went on to state that local authorities played a part in the cancellation as well, as they didn’t allow them to go through with the event because they thought it was “irresponsible.”

Just like Burna Boy mentioned in his statement, Bon Bon Entertainment also made it known that information about a new date would be communicated.
