Three para-athletes and one official have travelled to South Korea for a training camp to begin the Los Angeles (LA) 2028 paralympic qualifications agenda.
This is an initiative of the National Paralympic Committees of Ghana and Korea to give their athletes the needed exposure in orders to prepare for the qualifying events for the LA ‘28 Paralympic Games.
The team includes two para swimmers, Promise Aheto and Bryan Akoto, a para-badminton player, Judith Adu, and a media-impact official, Mr Michael Obeng.
The programme is at the instance and under the sponsorship of the National Paralympic Committee of Korea.
The training camp is designed to foster development of the athletes and build their capabilities in a range of programmes.
Korea Paralympic Committee is responsible for the total cost of the trip and related activities. In 2022, two athletes and one official from the NPC-Ghana benefited from the arrangements ahead of Paris 2024.
The team will return to Ghana on November 15.
