Honda has launched the 2025 iteration of its popular supersport motorcycle CBR650R in India, priced from Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. As part of this upgrade, the model features a refreshed design, new features and is available in new colourways. Deliveries of the model will commence from February 2025. Honda CBR650R: What’s new
Starting with the design first, the motorcycle now looks sharper, especially the tail section in comparison to its predecessor. It gets sharp, extended full-fairing, twin LED headlights, a small windshield, giving it an overall aggressive look it is known for. However, the most notable upgrade comes in the form of a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster that offers Bluetooth connectivity with related features. The model is available in two colour schemes, namely, Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.
Honda CBR650R: Engine and hardware
The motorcycle houses a 649cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four motor that puts out 95 hp and 63 Nm, the same as its European avatar. This powerhouse comes mated to a six-seed gearbox.
As for the cycle parts, the model features Showa SF USD fork in front and a 10-step pre-load adjustable monoshock suspension unit at the rear. Stopping power comes from dual discs on the front and a single disc equipped on the rear wheel. As for the competition, the model will directly lock horns with the Triumph Daytona 660 in India.
